How it works

Every device in the Warm Down range runs on the same two ideas, so you only have to learn it once.

Heat opens

Warmth brings blood to tired tissue. That's the whole mechanism — it's why a hot shower helps a stiff back and why physios reach for a heat pack before they do anything else. Our devices hold a steady, adjustable temperature against one specific area rather than heating all of you at once.

Pressure releases

Rhythmic compression helps move things along. Air chambers inflate and release in a wave, or a motor works through a spot in a slow cycle. It's the same principle behind the recovery boots you've seen in AFL sheds, sized down for a lounge room.

Three steps

  1. Wrap it on. Adjustable straps sit around the hand, calf or waist. One size, no fiddling, no second pair of hands needed.
  2. Pick your level. Three heat settings and three intensities. Start gentle — most people settle somewhere in the middle after a week.
  3. Ten minutes off. The session ends on its own. Read, watch something, or just sit there until it does.

How often

Most people do one session of ten to twenty minutes a day, usually of an evening. There's an automatic shut-off on everything we sell, so leaving it running by accident isn't a problem.

Before you start

These are wellness devices, not medical ones. Don't use heat on broken skin or anywhere sensation is reduced. If you're pregnant, have an implanted device, diabetes or circulation problems, have a chat with your GP first.
